I'm excited to run the 2017 NYC Marathon this November with Athletes to End Alzheimer's. This will be my fifth NYC marathon fundraising with the organization and I really appreciate your continued and generous support.
My grandmother (pictured above with me on my first birthday) suffered from Alzheimer's Disease. When she passed away in 2011, I committed to helping raise awareness and hopefully one a day cure for this horrible disease.
By participating as a member of team Athletes to End Alzheimer's, I’m committed to raising awareness and funds for CaringKind, The Heart of Alzheimer's Caregiving which provides free information, assistance and support for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as well as for their family members, caregivers and professionals.
Currently, over 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, and the number of Americans with Alzheimer’s will increase significantly over the next two decades, with expectations that the population of people age 65 and older will double.
Please consider making a donation to CaringKind to help me reach my goal supporting this great cause and to run in memory of my grandmother.
