Running for "Grandma HAWk" & "Uncle"

I have decided to run the NYC Half-Marathon on March 18, 2018 in memory of my grandmother, Flora Hawk, and my godfather & great uncle, Jirair Torossian. Grandma Hawk passed away from the disease in 2012 and "Uncle" passed away from the disease in 2014.

Last year I ran the 2017 NYC Half Marathon with the Athletes to End Alzheimer's team and with all of your generous help I was able to raise over $3,800! Although I didn't finish within my desired time frame, I finished. This year I will be training even harder.

Although this race will be a physical challenge for me, it is nothing close to what the 24/7 caregivers face when caring for their loved one with Alzheimer's. I will also be running for my family members who were caregivers to Grandma Hawk & Uncle.

I'm competing to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating as a member of team Athletes to End Alzheimer's, I’m committed to raising awareness and funds for CaringKind, The Heart of Alzheimer's Caregiving which provides free information, assistance and support for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as well as for their family members, caregivers and professionals

Currently, over 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, and the number of Americans with Alzheimer’s will increase significantly over the next two decades, with expectations that the population of people age 65 and older will double

I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to CaringKind to help me reach my goal. Your donation makes an impact on Alzheimer’s!
Thank you!
