Athletes to End Alzheimer’s® (ATEA) is an initiative started by CaringKind to give endurance athletes the opportunity to participate in the events that they love while working to destigmatized Alzheimer’s and raise crucial funds for CaringKind, which provide programs, services, training and support, free of charge, to individuals and families affected by dementia or Alzheimer’s, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. Via triathlons, bikeathons or running events, athletes across the greater NYC area will come together to support the millions affected by this disease and those who care for them. Join us as we swim, bike and run to raise funds and awareness.
About Our Team:
While Athletes to End Alzheimer’s (ATEA) has a terrific presence in many of New York City’s premiere events, we know that there are athletes participating in other events who want to add a special element to their competitions. Our general Athletes to End Alzheimer’s program allows athletes to participate in the events that are important and convenient to them while fundraising and raising awareness on behalf of CaringKind and the Alzheimer’s cause. Whether you are participating in a 10K, a bikeathon, a Spartan race, or a sprint triathlon, you can be an Athlete to End Alzheimer’s.
Why join our team?
Complete a general ATEA application and you will receive a personal fundraising page and a handbook that outlines information about CaringKind, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, and fundraising tips to help you kick start your efforts. CaringKind staff will be here with you every step of the way to help you reach your fundraising and outreach goals. Each athlete that raises $1,000 will also be eligible to receive official Athletes to End Alzheimer’s competition gear, appropriate for your event (tech shirt/singlet/cycling jersey/trisuit).
Sign up today and join the Athletes to End Alzheimer’s with CaringKind!
