Friends, family, and peers,

We want to thank you for just taking the time just to simply click on our fundraising page. That step alone is helping to raise awareness and spread the word about Caring Kind. Caring Kind is an organization that helps individuals and families who are affected by Dementia and Alzheimers. They offer programs for patients as well as families to get them through this difficult time. Every year, Caring Kind puts on a number of events to help raise awareness and funds for the cause. My sister and I are participating in the TackleAlz Flag Football game this spring.

Our grandfather, Marvin Chaplin, passed away from Alzheimer's in June 2015. Before the disease progressed significantly, he was at every sporting event of ours and taught us the sport of football. Every Sunday, our Grandfather was over to watch New York Giants football. These are memories my sister and I hold very dear in our heart. We know he will be there cheering his girls on, on game day!

As our Grandfather's Alzheimer's progressed, our Grandmother, Marjorie Chaplin, took on the role of caregiver.  Unfortunately, she unexpectedly passed away this November 2016. Her later years were dedicated to giving our Grandfather the best care and quality of life he could possibly have, despite the challenge it was to see our Grandfather in the condition he was in. Our Grandmother embodied what the CaringKind organization is all about.

This year, my sister and I are taking the field and playing in honor of our Grandmother and Grandfather, as part of the BRUCREW. We ask that you support us in our goal of raising funds and awareness for the cause. We promise you a stellar performance on the field. Thank you in advance for the support. GO BRUNETTES!

With Love,

Alyssa and Nicole Chaplin

We're taking the field to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating as a member of TackleALZ NYC, I’m committed to raising awareness and funds to support New Yorkers living with or taking care of someone with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia

Currently, over 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, which is the sixth leading cause of death in United States. In New York City, this means that over half a million people are either living with this disease or are taking care of someone with it. This spring we will join our fellow TackleALZ NYC teammates to train and prepare for great game day. More importantly, win or lose; our true goal is the TACKLE ALZHEIMER’S!

We need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to CaringKind, which provides free information, assistance and support for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as well as for their family members, caregivers and professionals. Your support makes an impact on Alzheimer’s!

Thank you for your support!
