As someone who works at Otsuka, a pharmaceutical company that is dedicated to creating new products for better health worldwide, including for patients afflicted with Alzheimer's disease, I'm competing in the upcoming NYC Half-Marathon to help reclaim the future for millions.
This is also personal for me, as I have family members and have cared for patients who have been affected by this terrible disease. Thus, I have seen up-close how devastating Alzheimer's disease can be, not only to the patients, but also on their family members.
By participating as a member of team Athletes to End Alzheimer's, I’m committed to raising awareness and funds for CaringKind, The Heart of Alzheimer's Caregiving, which provides free information, assistance and support for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as well as for their family members, caregivers, and professionals.
Currently, over 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease, and the number of Americans with Alzheimer’s disease will increase significantly over the next two decades, when the population of people age 65 and older, will double.
I need your support to do my part!
Please make a donation to CaringKind to help me reach my goal. Your donation makes a significant impact on helping those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Thank you!
